The Valloires Abbey and gardens

» The Valloires Abbey and gardens

Adjoining the 12th century abbey, Valloires Gardens is the work of landscape architect Gilles Clément. Classified as an outstanding garden, the grounds are divided into distinctive areas, each with its own unique feel: there’s the vegetable garden, the Garden of Evolution, the sensory garden and a breathtaking rose garden of more than 2,000 rare roses, including the David Austin’s famous ‘Rose de Picardie’.
